Help matching dtv serial controllers to tuners

Can anyone suggest the easiest way to map serial controllers to tuners. I had to rebuild my system and I can't get the 4 tuners to match up with the controllers.

I had this problem. The simplest solution is the probably the only one you haven't thought of... Just do them one at a time. Plug in your AV cables to one tuner, and unplug everything else. That way you know which DirecTV box the tuner you're setting up is going to. Then use one Serial cable to that DirecTV box and when setting up your tuner, keep trying the different com ports till it changes the channel. Then move on to the next one. It was easy for me because all my serial controls originate from USB ports so when I'd put in a new USB to Serial cable, it would show in hardware manager a new com port enabled, so I'd know which COM to use when setting up each source, one at a time.
