Channel Change freezes video
My problem seems to be unique. I can select channels from the program guide and when I select "Watch Now" it goes to the TV screen and changes channels OK. But when I try to switch channels from the TV screen the OSD comes up reflecting the request, but the Video freezes. I can see the IR emitter changing the channel on the Echostar 3000. I stil have control of the interface, as I can cancel playback, bringing me back to the program guide, and when I go back to TV the channel shows the one that I switched to.
The same thing happens when controlling with the media extender and SageTV Client. I have re-installed the application, and OS, same issues. It is definitely a software interface problem. It may be the OSD causing the problem, because it will not go away while the video is frozen. How can I turn off the OSD during channel change events?  Chainteck MB with Nvidia chipset, AMD 2700+, hauppauge 1600 HD w/ir blaster
