I am setting up a client for the first time. If I want to use SageMC on that client I need to install SageMC right. It won't grab it from the main server which has it and has been running it for a while?

It is giving me grief and I figured I would ask to see if what I am doing is right before I start swapping out vid cards and such.

It will load SageMC.stv but I only get a black screen with white lettering on it. It is not useable like that because there is not highlight bar and no other graphics to help out.

Correct, you need to install SageMC on the client. Extender or Placeshifter connections run on the server, so the server's install of SageMC is enough.

Doublecheck that you are running the correct version of SageMC. SageMC has gone through many updates and doesn't use the .stv file any more. It uses an .xml file. If you do have the correct version of SageMC for the version of SageTV, then try restarting the computer to make sure all the JAR files get loaded properly.

Whater version of SageTV and SageMC are you using?
