sageTVService continually running

Recently when I try to watch a show it becomes very jerky and often unwatchable. When I log onto my Sage server I see that the sageTVService process is using abou 40% of the cpu and just killing the disk drive. I also notice that it is accessing my gigabit network ag 6%.

Nothing runs on this computer but sage.

Any ideas on what Sage could be doing that causes the jerkyness? If I could get it to quit hitting the hdd then I could get smooth playback I'm sure.

I just enabled debug_logging and will post if it reports anything, but thought I'd post and see if anyone else has seen this issue.

thanks,
