How many PCI slots do I need?
I'm looking at buying a computer that has:
Expansion Slots: 2 PCI slots (1 available), 1 PCI-E x16 slot (available) and 1 PCI-E x1 slot (available) I want to put the Hauppauge HVR-1600 into it. Ultimately, I want to be able to record 2 programs at a time. Do I need 2 cards? If so, will I be able to use 2 of those slots or will I need 2 regular PCI slots? Thanks, Lynn |

Although that is workable you would be forever hosed, you should get a different motherboard. Maybe look at the Abit IP35

Make sure the slots are full height, too.

HDHomerun is a thing of beauty. 2 tuners, no slots as it runs over the network
