Some formerly clear channels now fuzzy

I use a Hauppauge PVR150 for my analog cable tuner.

Everything worked fine until about a month ago. Since then, a few of my channels, around numbers 49-52, no longer tune in very clearly. There is a lot of static and "snow". If I go to the video source setup and rescan for channels, it fixes the problem. But every time I close out of sage and/or restart the computer, I'm back to square 1. I always have to go to the setup menu and rescan 100 channels.

Is there a way to tell Sage to remember the last scan? I'm tired of my Discovery Channel recordings getting ruined every time my computer happens to reboot and I'm not around to manually rescan channel 51.

I don't think the scan is really your issue, it just fixes the bug for some reason. Sage just uses the scan to see which channels have signals on them. Next time try flipping though the channels manually and see if that also fixes the problem temporarily, since that's technically all Sage is doing.

I'd look more at the Hauppage drivers, I don't think this is a settings issue, it's some problem with the software, either a glitch in how Sage is interfacing with the 150, or more likely a problem with the Hauppage drivers. I'd re-install/update the drivers and see what that does for you.
