I realize that I an not stream my music to any of my extenders. However, an I make the music play on the server and control it from any of the extenders? Does anyone think the Slim Player plugin might show mc to do this?

How are you trying to play music on an extender? Playing imported music in the SageTV UI should work fine.
But, no, you can't control the music playing on your server via the extender. - Andy
