Would it be possible to encourage people to post the feeds that they find? Could they be preserved in a sticky thread or an FAQ?

YouTube Adds Movie Trailers Feed

Looks like YouTube has added a special category for Movie Trailers. Any chance we could have that added to the online videos section of the default STV

That's great. Unfortunately I can't work out how to get an RSS feed of that

Once that's available it will be great to have a movie trailer button. All I need to do then is work out how to have an actual menu item (dynamic menus) that goes straight to trailers

Regards,

Nick.

New Custom Link

In the CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties add:
Quote:
xFeedPodcastCustom/ArchiveMovieClassics=xPodcastCustom;http://archiveclassicmovies.com/acm.rss

In the CustomOnlineVideoUIText.properties add:
Quote:
Category/ArchiveMovieClassics/LongName=Archive Movie Classics
Category/ArchiveMovieClassics/ShortName=Archive Movie Classics

Category/ArchiveMovieClassics/ThumbURL=http://www.archiveclassicmovies.com/acm_144.jpg
It actually added the icon on its own so I included it.

It's just a site with old movies in mp4 format. Works well with SageTV.

The Ride Show TV (Automobile reviews) good quality show with full episodes

Here is a show that includes full episodes. Show is called "The Ride Show" for automobile enthusiasts, the host Nik Miles reviews new vehicles and sometimes exotic vehicles, it is updated pretty frequently so there is always new content.

Here is how I added it:

CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties

TheRideShow/URLContext=http://therideshow.blip.tv/rss/flash

In the CustomOnlineVideoUIText.properties add:

Category/TheRideShow/ThumbURL=http://therideshowtv.com/images/thumb.png
Category/TheRideShow/LongName=The Ride Show
Category/TheRideShow/ShortName=The Ride Show

Looks like they changed the link to their feeds...

New Link = http://feeds2.feedburner.com/ziffdavis/cgh264video
Old link = http://feeds.ziffdavis.com/ziffdavis/cgh264video

Hopefully Sage will update the link soon, but in the mean time, just update the link in the "OnlineVideoLinks.properties" file found under "C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\OnlineVideos".

The complete line looked like this:

xFeedPodcast/CrankyGeeks=xPodcastScienceTech;http://feeds.ziffdavis.com/ziffdavis...deo?format=xml

Some of the feeds from the last few posts above have been added/updated in the latest online video update to 2009120701.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Attached are some feeds that I created for the shows that have video on This Week in Tech. Since some shows don't have have a regularly updated RSS feed for the videos, I ended up creating feeds via Yahoo Pipes.

I actually used the audio RSS feeds, and substituted the video URLs. You may find that the latest video for your show is not available right away. This is because the audio versions of the podcasts are posted before the videos.

Hopefully others will find it useful. If not, it was an interesting excuse to try out Pipes.

Enjoy.
