online feeds and updates
First off, this is probably a really easy answer, but I REALLY did spend 20 minutes using the search feature on this board and couldn't find the answer. Well, I updated to the latest version over the weekend and imagine my surprise when I go to watch a revision3 feed tonight and it's not there. Well After searching I see that sage has started updating the automatically. After looking at the new version of the file I see that it says to add customizations to the following files.
Code:
CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties CustomOnlineVideoUIText.properties **EDIT** Also, is there a template I can look at or is the setup of the files the same as the old way? Thanks! Last edited by jrhessey; 09-22-2008 at 07:42 PM. Reason: See **EDIT** |

There's a sticky in the customizations forum:
How To: Add custom online video feed definitions (default STV; v6.4) - Andy

Wow... Thanks! I even did a search for the exact file names listed in that sticky and that post doesn't appear. Wonder why?

FYI....There is a setting that tells SAGE not to do an automatic update. (I wish I could remember where the setting is)..
So, I do it the old way by putting everything in the main files. This way I can customize the names of the "folders" and also delete all the podcasts that I don't want. The obvious drawback to this is that when a new file comes out, I don't get the newest podcast addresses. But, I download the new files to a separate folder and Sage typically puts the new ones at the end. So, I can pick and choose which ones to add... Gary Ellis |
