When I had the Sage Client used with this monitor, it went into standby and shut off when the client went into S3 standby.

Yeah, this is really a fix that needs to be added if it's not there now. HDMI TV's will often go into standby if video went idle. I pointed this out when I saw the first extender prototype at CES last year which had the same problem. I hope they get this right.
I am sure a firmware patch would take care of this though.
