Presale question about HD Media Extender

wow, I'm really glad I found out about the HD Media Extender!! I think I'm in love here LOL

I have a couple of questions though...

1. Does the HD Media Extender contain a hard drive for buffering content?

2. The HD Media Extender does not include wifi, correct? I may toss a wifi adapter on it but will my 802.11g network be fast enough or should I consider a new 802.11n router?

edit: found some answers here:
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28950

3. Any particular format that would you recommend for the storage of dvd's?

thank you

1. No
2. The NIC is 100bT Ethernet. YMMV on the bridge - it would work from a 'network perspective' however the BW and link quality may not be sufficient
3. The Sage Manual (free d/l) show you the correct way to do it (simple really)

Does the 'media server' decode the file or is the file streamed to the HD Media Reciever and decoded there?

(thanks again!)

I don't think I've run into anything that's not decoded by the HD extender yet.
