Question STX-HD100 on a Harmony Remote

I know that I can program the Hauppauge commands into the HD Extender and I can do the opposite and learn the commands on my Harmony. I'm just curious if anyone knows if the STX-HD100 is available as a device directly through Logitech yet or if the commands will have to be learned? I really don't have any problem going through learning the commands but it would just be convenient to not have to go through all that.

I sent a request to Logitech, but I guess it's to early to expect codes for an device that been on the streets all of 4 days.

Love my Logitech 880, best U remote I ever owned

i have to agree... i was worried that logitech might mess up a well-run organization, but so far so good... my 880 is a godsend

I hope that means it is in the Harmony database & that's what you need to look for, because I've added that to the FAQ about the HD100's remote.

When I checked this out (putting in STX-HD100) it still asks if I have the device remote as it wants to learn the keys. In other words it didn't find the device in their database. There were some other devices it suggested but none looked to match.

I opened a ticket a few days ago and logitech replied today they need the Pronto codes. I had sent them the file Andy had put out in the FAQ. Has anyone found the Pronto codes (or converted?) and sent them to Logitech yet?

It isn't in the database. It asks if you have the remote...if you say no then it says found similar device 6.19

OK... <sigh> I jumped the gun, so I removed it from the FAQ.

Pronto are easy to input with the Pronto Edit program.

Use this spreadsheet that Andy made:
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/atta...4&d=1197322189

Then in the actions area for a button, click the IR code button, then click the RC 5/6/MM button, then in system type 28 and command type the number that corresponds to the command that you want it to do (from the spreadsheet).

I've attached my PCF to this post too, but it is for a TSU7000 - so I'm not sure if you can use it.

I'm getting my Extender on Tuesday so I can't test them out but do these codes work or does it just ask to learn the codes from the original remote?

Does the HD Extender respond better to the Harmony remote than the stock remote?

I ordered an 880 yesterday to reduce the remote count down to one. I am hoping it helps the IR issue as well.

Yes, but nothing like the range my 880 has on my other components.
