Any way to move from a recording directory with compressed files?

For the ones that appear in both places: choose an imported one & check to see whether its recording list entry actually points to the file -- if you try to play it, does it actually play, or does it say the file can't be found? (Is the original recording's location still visible to SageTV, so it can verify that the recordings aren't at that location?)

Since you said you did the repair process before moving anything, try exiting SageTV completely, then move a couple of the imported ones & restart SageTV to see what happens.

Yes they play in both locations. Should I have the repair option true or false when I try to move a couple?

The instructions should say that you should set the property back to what it was after using it.

I did, it was false. I changed it to true for before I started sage after I moved the files. After about 1 hour and all the files showing up, I shut down changed it back to false.

When you suggest moving just a file or two, would you recommend setting repair_mismatched_media_filenames= to true or false ?
