Channels activated in setup but do not appear in EPG?
I have a firewire STB setup, works great for stuff like ESPN, Discovery HD, etc., but my locals are missing. They're available for me to select in the sage channel setup screen, and they all have a green dot, but they don't show up in the epg. I have tried activating/deactivting, but no result.

Check the note at the bottom of the Program Guide page in the SageTV manual -- around p. 46 or so.

I assume you are referring to the idea that they are already combined with the other channels that are assigned for the locals. I thought of that, but I guess I expected to see them separately because of the way I have my channel lineups set up. I use my actual Time Warner digital lineup for the STBs of course, and the locals are listed there in the 700 range, but do not show up in the guide. I also have set up a secondary digital lineup from a couple towns over because that's the only way I can correctly remap all of my OTA channels. It is that lineup that shows my locals in the epg in the 900 range.
If I understand correctly, has sage figured out that 706 and 906 are both CBS for example, and therefore both do not show up in the guide? If that's the case, why do my OTA channels show up by themselves?

Plucked from another post:

As stated previously, SageTV knows where to go to get the show. An analogy would be buying microwave popcorn. The same brand is available from MANY stores. You just buy it from the one most convenient at the time. You list it on you grocery list just once and buy it when you find it. [/recycled goods] |
