HD Channel guide issues.

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question.

I have recently added a HVR-1800 and am now able to recieve clear qam local HD channels. But the program guide information does not always show for the digital channels. Below is a screen cap of what I am getting. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Are you getting those channels from QAM or OTA? If it is OTA, the data may be coming from the stream itself & could be incomplete. If it is QAM, then you are probably getting the listings from the built in data, which SageTV gets from Zap2it. Does Zap2it list data for those timeslots?

And, see this FAQ about EPG issues.

Tried everything in all of those threads and nothing helped.

Edit: It looks like the epg data is coming from the HD stream itself. I looked at the guide this evening and all the channels are populated for the current time. but not for the future.

nlancaster, you didn't answer Andy's question, but I'm assuming you're tuning these station using QAM from a cable source and not ATSC (over the air).

When I go to zap2it.com, the lineup there shows you have data where you're EPG is missing data for the same channels (KOINDT 6-1 or KGWHD 8-1). The data we get for the SageTV EPG comes direct from Zap2it.

If you have NO DATA at all on the KGW-HD listing, it might be because that 'station call sign' is listed as KGWHD (no dash). The Call Sign IDs must match exactly in order for SageTV to list the correct lineup from the EPG.

If this is the case, you can fix this by:
1) writing down the digital tuning channel on the bad KGW-HD entry, then erase this entry using REMAP 'reset physical', 'reset logical',

then either:

2a) locate (if you can find it) the correct call sign in your current DIGITAL EPG and using REMAP to give it the correct 'Physical' channel number AND enable the channel (green dot); or,
2b) use ADD NEW CHANNEL and enter the correct Call Sign ID (KGWHD) and the appropriate LOGICAL (cable lineup #) and PHYSICAL (tuning channel in x-y-z format). If it asks for a 'Station ID' you can enter the StnNum of 20378.
Where KOINDT shows NO DATA, the Zap2it guide show that 1:30am timeslot is scheduled for PAID PROGRAMMING (where the station sells itself to a rotation of snake-oil salesmen). In these instances 'No Data' is normal.

[EDIT] If you are tuning QAM (digital cable) you must also select DIGITAL CABLE and a DIGITAL <your city> Cable Source in order to get the 14-day electronic guide from SageTV.

ah that makes more sense. I thought clear qam implied over the cable digital signals. The no data for paid programing I dont care about. I will try the issue with the KGW-HD vs KGWHD. Thanks
