DVB-C Cards in the UK

I've done some looking around and I can't see to find a definite answer as to whether it is possible to build a HTPC with a dvb-c card rather than the clunky IR blaster and analouge record card method. Currently I have the HVR-1100 and using that.

Being in the UK, it would in theory connect to Virgin. I have NO intention of trying to clone a box or anything like that. I currently have a normal STB as well as my V+ box, and it would the normal STB's card that I use since it is currently doing the same thing.

Can anybody recommend a card if there is one that is compatable with both Sage and Virgin.

DISCLAIMER : I apologise if this is against forum rules as I've seen on the net that some forums don't allow this because it is possibly against the T&C's of virgin.

Try the latest beta. 6.3.3. There was an update for DVB-C and Virgin.

The two main problems with DVB-C and VM are the viewing cards that are locked to a STB and the frequency list for scanning in your area. The first problem can be solved by using a diablo CAM that can read the box number of the viewing card and then emulate it. The second problem is a little more difficult, bascially you need to find the network ID in your area from your STB menu and then try and find a frequency list for it on the internet.

Regarding Sage, I use a FireDTV-C that does NOT work properly at the moment, even with the latest beta. The scan stops about 2/3 through and from the channels it does find, only a few decrypt. I have no problems with DVBViewer or Media Portal just Sage.
