Duplicate Sound
So, I downloaded the trial version of the newest version of SageTV, and Im happy with it so far, but Im having one problem. I've only used the software for about an hour, but decided maybe I could get help here instead of trying for 3 days until Im ready to put my fist through a wall. When I hear sounds on a channel, regardless of which channel, I hear everything again a second time a second or two later. Any Ideas? Let me know if more information is needed.

what tuner card are you using, a software-based encoder with your audio in hooked up to your sound-card's audio in?
Have you tried to record something, nad then play it back later. DO you get the double sound then? Or tried an imported video or DVD, double sound then?

Don't hook up anything up to your sound card for Sage. Just connect your cable or STB or whatever to your TV capture card. Sage records the sound to the MPG file and then plays it back again in sync with the video. This record/playback cycle happens even in Live TV mode. So you don't need an additional connection from your video source to your sound card; that will just give you redundant, out-of-sync ausio (as you've discovered).

ke6guj, I have an old ATI TV Wonder card. I dont know too much more than that, since I got the card used from a friend (who didnt tell me much about it either). Recordings are okay, no duplicate sound problems, so It seems just watching live TV is screwy.
GKusnick, Removing the cable running from the sound card to the tuner gives me no sound at all, so unless there is an option I need to change, I still need some help |

KmartCaper,
Make sure in your Volume control of your card that in playback linein is muted. In the recording section of your volume control linein should be selected. there are some pictures in this post. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...35&postcount=4
