Software Card stopped working 6.31 Beta
I have a software card at the bottom of my merit food chain and it stopped working with 6.31. I backed it off to 6.2 and it started working again. The error I was getting was audio compression errors. The line out of the card is plugged into a soundblaster card.

Also When i tried to do a channel scan I kept getting no signal in 6.3.1

Everything works fine when I backed off to 6.2


Ps I know I can replace the card... (so please don't suggest it)... but I do not want to do that as Comcast is in the process of going digital and I am not sure which way I want to go.

This problem still exists in the 6.33 RC candidate... bug filed. I back off to 6.210 and everything works fine. Is there a way to use the encoder and decoders from 6.210 in 6.33?

I did a bug submission on this for not working on analog inputs on the Hauppauge HVR-4000. The report I got back was that the bug had been passed to their software encoding supplier.

nyplayer, I assume you did a bug submission too?

Same problem here with my Sweetspot card... sorry, haven't had a chance to submit a bug report.

Hopefully this can be fixed sometime

Sage Tech Support is currently working on this problem they are aware that there indeed is a bug in Software Capturing.

I installed the latest 6.3.7 RC and I had sync problems went back to 6.2.10 and everything works fine. I will file an bug report once again.

Filed bug report anyone having the same problem should do so also.

Support informed me that in 6.38 later this week .. a new software encoder will be included... that should address these issues.

Wonder if it'll fix the slow playback of audio recorded from what they deem a software encoder (I have 2 Leadtek hardware encoders, but for whatever reason they identify them as software encoders when using them on Vista).
