Using DVI out to plasma tv questions

I have been trying to figure this out for a while and I'm really just looking for either input or suggestions. I have a Hitachi plasma TV hooked to the DVI out of my NVIDIA 6800 card. I also have a secondary monitor hooked to the 15 pin out. I use a dual monitor setup using a touchscreen monitor as my secondary monitor that runs a Jukebox program. My problem is when i turn the plasma tv off it removes it as the primary monitor on my video card. So when I turn it back on I have to reconfigre the monitor advanced settings to recognize it and recognize it as the primary monitor.

Now on to power saving. If I could just leave the plasma on it can go into power saving mode but with sage running it comes on again about every hour.

Anyone have some suggestions on my options here? What wakes it up every hour in sage? If it's not sage how do i find out what is waking it up? Is there a way for me to set this up so I can turn the Plasma off?

TIA

I don't know what is causing your problem. I can tell you that I have a GeForce 6200 which I have connected via DVI-to-HDMI cable to a Plasma HDTV as the primary monitor and a vga monitor for the secondary monitor. I don't have any problem with shutting of either or both monitors.

If you want to know if SageTV is causing your Plasma to wake up, just exit SageTV and see if still happens. I would check the screen saver and power savings settings for Windows to see if anything matches the hour timeout you are experiencing.

Have you tried using the profile settings that the nvidia drivers provide. You may be able to save a profile with your plasma as the primary monitor, so you change the settings without having to go into the advanced settings.

Thanks

That was is. I created a profile and deleted the default and I can now turn off the plasma without losing the settings. Thanks!
