HVR-1600 vs 1800
The main difference I see is hardware MPG encoding. But the sites says for ANALOG cable TV.
1) Is the MPG encoder worth it? 2) Does it offload processing from the CPU? 3) Does it really only work with ANALOG channels? If so, is that becuase digital channels already stream MPG? |

I am doing to redirect you to another thread... It was discussing the difference between 1600/1800 and HDHomerun. There is a lot of good information in that thread and I posted a link that listed the differences betwen the 1600 and 1800. I currently have the 1800, and I just bought the 1600 this past weekend. I haven't tried it out yet, but will sometime this week.
