Placeshifter using mplayer?
Is the placeshifter using mplayer to view the mpeg from SageTV server? I asked because I notice one of the exe in the folder is a Mplayer.
If it does use Mplayer and is there a way to start Placeshifter or tell it to use the switch -subcc or add a mplayer config file to it? I need Closed Caption and Mplayer do support it if it was excuted with an -subcc switch example mplayer -subcc tvshow.mpg Thanks Bill |

I just did some test and yes it does use mplayer for playback and I got the Closed Caption working on Placeshifter by adding a config for mplayer in the Placeshifter directory.
Cool .. that put placeshifter on my list to buy software. Bill |

For those whom like to get closed caption working on Placeshifter.
I posted a guide and attached files need to get closed caption working on Placeshifter at http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...971#post242971 It may not work for every tuner out there but this is working for me and I use Hauppauge PVR 500 tuner card using latest drivers. Bill |
