Bitrate returns?
i have a PVR500 and a PVR 1600. I have it set to DVD 3.2gig now and I was wondering what the best quality for capture off those cards is. Ill try bumping it to max and down a bit and test. but how about opinions? I dont need to worry bout disk space too much

Try turning them down until you start to see macro blocking. That will be your limit. I typically run using DVD Long Play with no problems on a PVR150 and PRV500.
The more high-speed motion there is on screen, the higher bitrate you'll need, so it will be dependent on the source material (i.e. sports vs. cartoons to give extremes). Also, you can typically get away with lower bitrates with cleaner sources. Lastly, if you are planning to do re-compression to something like Divx or Xvid, go to the highest bitrate you can.
