WinTV-pvr150 working with pvr250

I've been sagetv user since 1.x days. My current system is still an older version... if it aint broke why fix it... I'm running Sagtv 2, with two WinTV-PVR250 cards. A while ago I tried to add a PVR150 card as a thrid tunner, but could never get it working. People back then, probably a year ago, mentioned that they two cards don't like to work together.

Was wondering if anyone has been able to get these cards working together and under what versions of Sagetv. Been meening to upgrate to Sagetv 4 for some time, but if needed i'll go all the way to 6.

Thanks

I have a PVR250 and a PVR500 working fine in the same system. The 500 is essentially two 150's on the same card and uses the same drivers as the 150. I've had this combination with no problems for as long as I can remember, and I started with SageTV back in version 2.1. I do recall there were at one point two different versions of the PVR250, and it mattered if you had the newer or older encoder chip. It was the older chip, also used on the PVR350, that didn't play nice with the PVR150/500. Hope this helps!

You may be running into IRQ issues. Disable devices you aren't using like printer port, serial port, etc to free up IRQs. ALso you may want to pull the 250s out, install the 150 first and then reinstall the 250s. I had 2 x 250 and a 50 before without an issue. Then 2 x 500 and a 250. It should work for you. So if you do all that you may as well upgrade to Sage 6.
