Is there a new setup for sagetv and zap2it? I see that the Zap2It Data Direct feed has been cancelled.

Canadian EPG data has been included with SageTV's built-in EPG data for a while now, so you should just be able to put in your postal code & choose a local provider for your lineup.

So in the setup wizard I select "use US, Canada, or XMLTV gudide datea with this source". Then Cable or Satellite, Enter in New Zip/Portal Code. I get the following error "There was an error connecting to the SageTV Server. Please be sure your internet connection is established and that you have the correct Zip/Postal Code"
I know I can talk to the internet because in a prevouis setup area I was able to setup the weather report configuration for my city and it populated 10 days of extended weather forecast.

Disregarded my last post. I had to delete/remove my previous version of SageTV 2.2.8 and then install my trial copy of 6.1. Everything works now.
Question does the Canadian EPG data in the built in EPG in version 2.2.8?

I don't know about that... but there have been enough important bug fixes since v2 (not just feature changes) that I would recommend running the latest version anyway.
