Question Silver Hauppauge Remote

Ok, I have just installed SageTV a couple of days ago and have worked through video problems and audio problems, but I can not seem to get past my remote problem.

I have a Hauppauge 350 with remote and I can't find firm instructions on how to fix this problem. Does anybody know of another thread, or can give instructions on what I need to modify to get my remote to function.

Don't know about the Sage Linux version because I use the Windows version but...

I run MythTv on Ubuntu and you need to setup Lirc. I suspect you will have to do the same with Sage..

Here is the link: http://www.lirc.org/

If you haven't looked here http://www.sagetv.com/linuxOEMinstallAdv.html you might want to. At the bottom of the page it says the client can use Lirc for IR input. Hmm.. I don't know if that means the main Sage server can't, or what..

Thanks for the info. Here is what I did to get my remote to work.

I pulled from this site.
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/vdr-guide.xml

nano -w /etc/make.conf

Add these two lines to the end of the file
LIRC_DEVICES="hauppauge"
USE="lirc"

Save the file then type

emerge lirc

After it is finished, I downloaded the lirc hauppauge conf file. It will need to go ini the /etc directory.

wget http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/...conf.hauppauge

When that is done, rename that file to lircd.conf then reboot.

After it rebooted, my remote worked fine.
