Help creating a simple network encoder?

So, I am running an application that is capable of streaming video over the lan to any specifiable port. This application also accepts channel changes via an executable with a command line switch. (ie: c:\program.exe /chno=123)

Is there any way someone can help me setup a network encoder to work with this program?

Have you looked at the Universial Network Encoder? I haven't used it myself so I don't know how good a fit it is with what you're trying to do. At the very least, you should be able to get some hints from the UNE source about how to write your own NE.

I've tried playing with the UNE, and so far have been unsuccessful. The graph the application uses to output the TS does not work properly when called from other applications, so I can not get the graph called from Sgraphrecorder to output any data to a file.

However, if I use Graphedit to pull up the currently running graph from the application, stop it, edit it to output to a file instead of to the video/audio renderers, then it properly records the stream to a file.

That doesn't help me though, because the UNE will only work with saved graphs called from a file.

I have zero programming skills, so looking at the source means nothing to me. But, I would be willing to pay a small fee to someone with those skills to get it working for me.
