Angry 2 PVR-150's

I have been running a single 150 setup for a long time now, but i picked up another 150 a few weeks ago for next to nothing.

Well i just decided to slap it into the machine and..... nothing

the pc doesnt see it, sage doesnt see it.... any ideas on what is going on?

I put both cards in 1 at a time and both card work fine, just not when both are in, it only sees one of them, no error or anything, and in device manager it only shows the one.

help!

It can be done. A quick search shows a number of other users who run 2x PVR150 without issue. It's certainly not a Sage issue, either. If the device isn't recognized in device manager, it's a driver/hardware issue.

I'd try moving PCI slots, if you can. Get one device all setup and running, power off, insert the next 150 into a new slot, and see what happens.

You might run the HWclear.exe program from hauppauge first - it can clean up all traces of old installs. You might check to see if hauppauge can help you...do they have forums? I can't remember.

I had that problem many moons ago. It's a combination of Hauppauge drivers (I'm using 2.0.43.24108 and have been hesitant to upgrade) and then having to set some registry settings to fix up timeline issues.

I'd go ahead and contact hauppauge tech support and see what they say. Can't be an uncommon question.

So you've used the hwclear program to clear out everything, then insert one card, get it running, then repeat? And nothing happens for the second card?

AS matt91 mentioned run hwclear and start fresh. Make sure you get the latest drivers. In your BIOS try to turn off everything you're not using that can take up an IRQ. Disable serial ports if you can, parallel port, floppy drive if you're not using one, game port, modem, etc. This helps free up IRQs like 3, 4 7, etc. Now go back to sticking your cards in one at a time and load the new drivers. Put the cards in different slots if you can. Good luck.

Yes as posted above. Remove all unneeded pci cards.
then try Putting your 150 cards in different slots till both is recognized. This
ALWAYS worked for me when I was having the same problem you are. I had 3 150 cards at the time and the 3rd was always a bitch to get sage and windows the recognized it.
good luck
