Question WMP Auto Playlists - Import to Sage?

Hi folks,

I've been trying to search for a couple things, but am not having much luck and am wondering if anyone else has found solutions to these problems...

I use WMP Auto-Playlists pretty exclusively, but the format of the actual playlist does not include individual songs - just the code required to identify how the auto playlist is to be created. Because of this, Sage doesn't know what to do with it.

So, I'm trying to find an application out there that will convert these from auto playlists to an actual real playlist that Sage can import. I figure if I run the application on a frequent enough basis, my playlists will be fairly up to date.

I'd rather not manually create static playlists out of the auto ones manually in WMP if I can avoid it.

Anyone have any thoughts on insight on this?

Thanks!

in WMP, Right click your auto playlist, save as new playlist...

Now look in My Music->My Playlists. That wpl file should be importable by sage if it is in a music import directory.

Hey nielm, thanks for the reply!

Actually, it's more than just the one click for me (running XP and WMP 11)?

I have to clear the current playlist, right click on the auto playlist, add to "untitled playlist", click on the "untitled playlist" and do a "Save As".

Repeat...for all of my auto playlists.

Not undoable, but still kind of a PITA.

...and after some time, none of my playlists are actually getting imported. I've got the right import directory set up, but Sage isn't recogning any of the manual ones I built (from the original auto playlists). Urgh.
