How do I change the name of an archived file?
Is there a simple way to edit the names of archived files?
I've searched and found a rather complex way to do this with a plugin. I have severial TV series recorded, but the episodes are out of order or not correctly named (network problem, not STV), I don't want to spend weeks having to make arcane changes to the DB just to edit these files. Can anyone help? TNX Paul H |

Yea, I saw your plugin, It's overkill. I don't see why I need to add another plugin to do something that should be in STV to begin with.
I've learned to work around a lot STV's weaknesses, but come on, simple file mangement, that's something that even the most primitive software can acomplish! Like I said I'll looking for a simple way to do this. Another other suggestions? |

If there was another method (other than renaming the file in Windows, and then possibly losing the link to the Sage DB information), don't you think that I would have mentioned it?

(where to download it)
1) following the link in my footer, which takes you to here where there are installation instructions (do I need to change firewall settings) 2) no, not if you are only accessing it from the localhost (I believe, but this may depend on whose firewall software you use). (how to uninstall) 3) there is no auto-uninstaller, but there are uninstall instructions...
