Spanish (SAP) audio in STV recordings?

SageTV works very well with the Hauppauge HVR-950 USB, except for the audio in recordings. I have noticed that there seems to be much reverb in HDTV recordings (stereo), but tonight trying to record the All-Star game, the whole thing came out in SPANISH! Obviously this is the SAP feed that is being recorded, but the live TV is in English! That is why all my HDTV stereo recordings sound "echo-like" -- they are recording the SAP portion.

Again, Live TV is fine and in English.

I tried the "mmc/feature_mask_disable=8" proposed in an old thread, but that did not work. Also tried changing, in my case, the "mmc/encoders/1044773580/capture_config=37120" to an "8" at the end, but it reverts to "0" when STV is restarted. Still not working. Tried the other suggestions with SEEKER/FAST MUX=false. Still records SAP.

Any ideas? Is there a definitive fix for this simple problem?

If you edit the file and it changes back that means you haven't quit Sage TV or the SageTV service. You have just put it to sleep. Quit it so it no longer shows in the tray or stop the service. Also is your sound card configured to have anything as a recording or line in input? All the sound input should be coming from the USB device and the sound card should not be in use for recording anything.
