Feature Request: "Copy file" for Sage Conversion utility
What would be really useful is a feature under the SageTV video conversion feature is an option just to copy a recording file somewhere instead of converting it. That is, under the Quality setting, at the end add "No change, just copy the file". This would help immensely for those who move files into directories being monitored by comskipmonitor, etc., or just to move the file into a media import directory.
Thanks. KJ |

FYI: I am planing on having a move/copy video option on my next version of my VideoEdit plugin. Should be able to schedule it as well. I was planing personally on basing it on the Archive option in SageTV. You archive the video and the next time the scheduler runs all archived files in the video directory get moved to the directory you specify. Sorry I don't have an ETA yet I'm still working on it and it is a slow process since work is very busy right now too.

Opps You can also adjust the airing start and stop times of a recording to get them 30 seconds earlier for instance. Last edited by BobPhoenix; 07-09-2007 at 09:21 PM. Reason: Missed a feature |

There are several ways you can do a copy. One is using John's autocompress and create a new Transcoder profile that just copies and does not transcode. With John's autocompress you can specify a destination directory.
see this post http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/down...do=file&id=159. Another way is with John's External apllication STVI. Just create a few batch files to copy and move your recordings. see this post. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...&postcount=249 Or you can use the built in stuff...with the Copy profile and just select a destination folder. Below is the profile I use. transcoder/formats/Copy-NoComp\ CopyOnly=f\=dvd;[bf\=vid;f\=copy][bf\=aud;f\=copy;]
