Next Gen Video Card / Decoders

Maybe someone can answer this question - I'm not sure how hardware acceleration on the latest generation of Video Cards works.

I've got the Nvidia PureVideo DVD-Bronze decoder pack - I'm fairly confident that for mpeg2 content at the very least this will utilize the HW acceleration of my NVidia 8500GT. I'm not sure how to get the HW acceleration for H.264 and other related HD formats.....

Now that the ATI 2400PRO are starting to become available, they seem like a good deal also - but is there a decoder pack from ATI that will allow a media player to make full use of the HW acceleration?

From what I have read here on the forums; you'll want Vista, Nvidia drivers, and Cyberlink decoders.
