IR Blaster won't work w/ Happauge remote

Within the IR Blaster setup program everything works fine. It powers on/off the STP and changes channels fine. However, when using the remote it does not work. The remote will change volume(in Sage) and turn Sage on/off. So it controls Sage but not the STB. I think I'm close! I must be missing something simple.

TIA

This is the Hauppauge IR blaster/receiver from the 150, and not an MCE version, right?

What exactly isn't working -- just the IR blaster? You can use the remote to do all you need within SageTV for navigating menus, etc?

If it is just the blaster for channel changing, make sure you still have the Hauppauge IR software running and select it as the Tuning Plugin when you configure your capture source in SageTV. If you are using service mode, try running SageTV w/o the service.

YES

The Blaster works fine while in the config program. It changes the STB channels and powers it on/off. The remote seems to be working fine as it controls Sage fine. It seems that they work fine independently but the remote will not work the IR Blaster.

If it is just the blaster for channel changing, make sure you still have the Hauppauge IR software running and select it as the Tuning Plugin when you configure your capture source in SageTV. If you are using service mode, try running SageTV w/o the service.

I don't see where to add the plugin. if I go to SETUP/SETUP VIDEO SOURCES/ I can choose the Haupauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture Composite but from there all I can change is the INPUT TYPE and EPG Lineup. All other options are non-selectable.

You'll probably need to remove the source & add it again. Be sure you are using the default STV, then go through source setup -- in the v6.1 manual, see the description starting on p. 147, in chanpter 5. You will choose the tuning plugin during "Step 5: Select the Tuning Plugin".

If the Hauppauge IR blaster option isn't listed there, then either the Hauppauge software isn't running, or perhaps you are in service mode & the service is having a problem talking to the IR software.
