STV in Vista - runs in an XP-style window...

Hi,

I just switched to Vista Home Premium. Everything works so far, except:

1) SageTV for some reason is using the Windows XP style window border. It seems superficial, but it annoys me that it doesn't match the rest of the system.

2) The program guide is only about 1/2 updated. Shows "no data" for much of the guide.

I'm using version 6.19.143
Java version 1.6.0_01

Quite strange, don't you think?

Sage draws it's own title bars, in part so that you can right-click and get the menu including 'always on top'.

See this post for the property you need to set to allow vista to draw its own titlebar instead.

Thanks for your help! It took me a bit to figure out which file that property was located in, but I'm all good now!

And, as a bonus I figured out a couple of other nice tweaks in the process.

I changed the option in C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\Sage.properties, but it has no effect. Am I editing the right file?

Make sure Sage or the Sage service is actually stopped and not running. (Not just sleeping in the task tray.) And then edit the file.

I even rebooted.
I have ui/window_title_style=10 in the file. I still get the poorly imitated (sharp corners) XP titlebar.

This file doesn't seem to have any other personal information, such as zip code, etc. Is there another one somewhere? I can't find anything in C:\Users\AppData.

From another post, I read that the properties files in Vista would be located at:

c:\Users\<username>\AppData\local\VirtualStore\program files\SageTV

If you are using service mode, or if this is a client, be sure to edit sageclient.properties instead.

Virtualstore, thank you.
Now the window borders won't disappear when I maximize the window. Changing it back...

Where do you get your EPG data from, if via XMLTV than the file location may be the issue (as I only have used XMLTV, I have no clue how the 'others' work).

Need to dig up this old thread. I'm running the 6.3.10 on Vista and changed the ui option. Looks great when windowed but when I try to go full screen it still shows the border all around the screen and as a result is clipping the outer edge of what SageTV is displaying within.

I wish I would have caught this during the beta.
