feature request: basic test pattern sequences
To the K brothers and/or SageTV community developers:
A basic automated test pattern sequence built into SageTV. Colors, greyscale, black & white, grids, etc. to test the SageTV output on the TV.

Here is a wonderfully link to some great 1080 patterns that could be implemented in. Would these work?

The thing you have to be careful about (especially if they were "built in", would be to make sure that the UI is rendered the same way as the video. Quite often they're not (especially with overlay). You really want to use test patterns that are "video" and played back through the typical video channels.
The files linked by jdamore are great. Other options include: Digital Video Essentials Avia GetGrey And of course, you really need a colorimeter or spectrophotometer to do greyscale
