Has anyone tried this with SageTV?

I didn't have the technical prowess to get past the 'what if' stage, but I really didn't think it would have the HP for HD. Intresting read, thanks for the link.

The Nvidia 7300 chip in the AppleTv isn't much to write home about. The iintegrated intel graphics and core duo in the mini make for a better HTPC client...

mac mini is almost twice as much as appletv. it's the $300 price point that has me wondering. If the linux client supported dvd playback, I would give it a whirl.. Until then I'll wait for the HD extender.
