SageTV V6.2.0 Beta for Mac OS X is here!!

Howdy all!

The public beta test of SageTV Media Center for the Macintosh starts now!

Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.4 or later
Intel or PowerPC processor
Hauppauge's Eskape Labs myTV.pvr USB capture device
IMPORTANT: Be sure to have the V3.6.9 application for the myTV.pvr installed. This may not be the one that came on the CD. Do NOT use the V4.0.8 install.

The beta download has a 30 day trial on it. we plan to have the release version ready within 30 days. If for some reason we do not get it out in time; we'll reset the trial in the beta version.

All the software features of SageTV Media Center for Windows should also be available on the Macintosh.

Currently DVD playback is non-functional on the Macintosh; but this will be resolved before release.

We also will be expanding capture device support to include ATSC/QAM/DVB in the very near future (possibly before first release).

SageTV Media Center for the Macintosh also supports media extenders and placeshifting. The license keys for the extenders and placeshifter clients are the same as for windows; so if you would like to enter those keys to remove the 'TRIAL' warning you may purchase Windows extender or Placeshifter keys and enter those on the Macintosh.

License keys for SageTV Media Center for the Macintosh will be available for purchase once the product is released.
