channels not changing on MVP

I'm not using SageMC right now nor am I using service mode right now. I was having trouble changing channels on the MVP, so I decided to a clean install on 6.1.7. I'll go back to SageMC after I can figure this other stuff out.

I am attaching my properties file. I don't see anything being ignored Except for the SA 3250Hd box that I was trying to get firewire working with. Having trouble with that too.

On my source setup screen I have 3
Hauppauge WintTV PVR PCI II Capture #3
Hauppauge WintTV PVR PCI II Capture
Hauppauge WintTV PVR PCI II Capture #2

#2 is what I know is the PVR500

..........OH NO.......I am such an idiot. I thought I wasn't getting a picture out of the other 2. NEVERMIND

I do have one more question though. By the way the MVP now changes to the lower channels. If I try to change to the STB channels I get the Error (-9) all clients are being used by "Live TV" error.

Why wouldn't the MVP change the channel on the STB. I know I do have the Server set on HBO right now, so I know that if the MVP were to change channels on the STB, the channel would change on the server. Question is, why won't it change?

If there is only 1 source for a channel and that source is already in use for live TV in one place, then you can't change the channel for that source in another place. i.e.: stop live TV on the server and another client should then be able to change the channel on that source.

That makes sense.
I know I shouldn't be asking you this, kind of off the subject, but can an HDSTB be used as a tuner not to record or even watch HD, for SD only?

If the STB can output an analog signal to your tuner via svideo, coax, etc., I don't see why not. The svideo connection would be preferable vs coax or composite, of course.

Some people are using a firewire connection with some STBs (for recording or even just for tuning), but you'll have to check the hardware forum for that.

I have been reading the Firewire forums for a week. I still have some work to so with that, but in the mean time I'd like to set it up just as analog until I figure out the best solution for me an HDTV.
