FusionHDTV USB, DVBT-DUAL not working

I have a FusionHDTV USB, DVBT-DUAL (internal PCI device, even though it's called USB) which fails to operate at all in Sage. I don't know if its channels are set up properly - I don't know how to do that. All the channels work with 100% signal quality in the software that came with the device (FusionHDTV). I set it up as a new source, specified my xmltv feed, told it to use the antenna, and specified my region (Northern NSW, Australia), but it does not display anything. What do I need to do to make this work?

Also, most of the buttons on the remote (a Fusion MCE remote) which came with it do no function in Sage - only the cursor and ok buttons. Handy buttons like skip, back and home do nothing at all. I can't see how that is set up either. Is there a config file somewehre that I have to go to the trouble of editing or something as arcane as that? If so, perhaps someone already has such a file and can attach it?

Is that different than the one listed under the DVB section of the SageTV System Requrements?

If no one else using this this tuner has a suggestion, be sure to contact SageTV support. If there is a problem with SageTV's use of the tuner, I'm sure they would like to look into it.

For MCE remotes, go to Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Remote Control Configuration, then select MCE Remote.

Can't help you with the card, but the Fusion MCE Remote isn't a "true" MCE remote as I can see. I have it and have used it. Its a great remote (slightly odd looking), however, you have to use the included Fusion Remote software and assign each key to a keyboard command and make sure that keyboard command cooresponds to a mapped keyboard command in Sage. It's a bit of a pain, but it works.

Frumbert,
I am using the same tuner card in melbourne and have it working 95%, only problems are slow channel changes (1.5 seconds) and a bit of interference.
When I get a chance (tomorrow evening) I'll post some details about getting it working. here in Australia there are a few issues with our "wonderful" TV broadcasters and the DVB-T standard.

I found with my FusionHDTV DVB-T USB device that the driver package from the Dvico 3.41 application offers the quickest channel changes in SageTV. Drivers after this series seemed to slow the channel changes in SageTV considerably. While improving them within the FusionHDTV App & improving the ability of the device to 'hang on' to a signal

Cheers

Peter

Frumbert,
Have you had any luck yet?
I would initially set it up without the xmltv stuff to make sure all is working as it should.
One thing I remember was when configuring a source and you select the source input (digital tuner or whatever it was called) it then says "waiting for preview to load" or something similar, if I didn't wait for say 20 seconds, and just continued it would not find any channels at all.
Try it without the xmltv first, make sure there is no xmltv line in the properties file.
Let me know what happens.

Fraser

No, I never did get it to work. The preview that comes up when you scan for stations is just blank (e.g. never happens). I don't know if the stations are set up properly. I don't know how to find out in Sage. They work fine in the FusionHDTV app that came with the card so I know the card does work. I just don't know how to copy those station settings into sage.
