I had the day off yesterday, so I decided to do a fresh 6.1.8 install. Did they remove:

always_use_dshow_player
mplayer_use_for_mp4(?)

and even with:
record_digital_tv_as_program_stream=false

...are HDHR programs now recording with the .mpg extension? My new shows aren't .ts

I know 6.1.8 is gold, but figured this was a better place for this post.

The record_digital_tv_as_program is now encoder specific. The HDHR only outputs .ts files. This option only changes the .ts extension to .mpg for the HDHR.

Some properties don't show up until their corresponding code path is executed so you may not see them all due to that.
