Just upgraded my system
And fried my PVR250 in the process
![]() And the freshly rma'd WD 500gig sata hd as well ![]() Well, on the bright side I dared loading the March 20 version of the HDHomeRunManager and was pleasantly suprised. Nice upgrade. Now that I can transcode HD to high quality for the MVP I noticed that it's actually not worth it the additional load on the cpu: Standard to High is like 40% to 60% load on average, but I have a hard time noticing any difference on my 42" plasma. So, one could say I just wasted all that money for the new equipment (while destroying some more in the process). Here are my actual conclusions: 1. The HD extender rules. I mean, if it ever sees the light of day. 2. Sage rules - needs (almost) no hardware and very little memory. |
