XFX 7600GT - Different resolutions for PC and TV - how?

Sage 6.0.19
I am using XFX 7600GT to display SageTV on an older Toshiba projection TV that is capable of max. 1024x768 resolution. My PC LCD monitor's native resolution is 1280x1024. I am running the 7600GT in the clone mode which forces me to use the lower (1024x768) on both the PC LCD monitor and the TV. As I use the PC for video editing as well I would like to get it back to the higher resolution. Continuous switching of the resolution back and forth is inconvenient and it messes up icons on the desktop.
Question: Is there a way how to use this setup in such a way that the PC monitor will be set to higher resolution and the TV to lower resolution displaying full screen SageTV only. I do not need the TV to display Windows desktop.

Thanks for any advice and ideas.
Frank

You should be able to do this but not using clone mode. If you are using FSE though, the projector will need to be the primary monitor.

Could you please enlighten me on what is the FSE? I could not find an explanation anywhere in posts. Everyone just uses the acronym
