Haupp 45 Remote Fixed/Recvr Wire Bad!

Hi all,
Just wanted to let everyone know that one day out of the blue, my 45 button remote stopped working. I have the haupppauge pvr 150 card. I called hauppauge, they sent me another remote, which wasn't the problem. Then they sent me a new IR receiver wire. Yes, the wire was bad inside of the gray molded rubber part on the plug in end. I was really surprised, I thought it was the remote. Just FYI if anyone else can't figure the problem out. Just make sure to check the IR remote program is running in the system tray, and if you have to reset the IR remote program, you have to go to add/remove programs and uninstall Sagetv, and then reinstall it.

While you could reinstall SageTV, it is much easier to make a backup copy of irremote.ini (found in your Windows directory) & then replace it after reinstalling the Hauppauge IR software, or see this FAQ for links to copies of irremote.ini you could use instead.
