6.1.6 Client with 6.0.19 Server

Couldn't find in prior searches. Is the new 6.1.6RC client supposed to work with a 6.0.19 server?

I've accidently done it before, only just the opposite. I had the latest beta running on the server, and an older version on my client with no problems. However, these were always incremental. I doubt it would work if you had say version 5 on one and version 6 on the other.

I don't think the specific combination of 6.0 and 6.1 works together, and in any case I imagine the tech support people would prefer that any bug reports you submit come from matched client/server versions rather than from unsupported hybrid configurations.

Those are NOT compatible. You should use a V6.1 client with a V6.1 server.

Thanks for the reply. I use my server as the "production" machine and my client machine as a "test" environment. I'll bite the bullet and try 6.1.6 later tonight.
