Tried various combinations - VMR, Overlay, even uninstalled Purevideo. Same results. I now hear audio, and there is no error message from Sage, but no video.

When I render a H.264 file with GraphEdit it looks fine. Uses the Cyberlink Demux, H.264 video codec and AC3 audio. Though WMP 10 shows a blank screen as well. So the problem may not be SageTV.

Have you tried CoreAVC before? Or if you do that it won't work on the TV stream?

I was going to try CoreAVC, but it seems their website/download "will be back in a few days" for the past week or so.

I'm happy to report that SageTV now plays H.264 on my system with PowerDVD Ultra 7.1 installed.

What is the source of the video? I can only get audio if I tune to an H.264 station on my r5000HD.

I dont think this is a sagetv issue rather than Cyberlink issue, I'm Using Power DVD7 build 2414 in fresh install of Vista (and tried XP) installed I can't play any H.264 files at all in any media player with Cyberlink software installed. Once I install a trial demo of Lead H.264 decoders then it works. Or I load a H.264 file into my encoder program and I can view them without any issues.

I have all ready contacted Cyberlink support by phone and talked to a useless guy, but I am waiting Second tier support to call me back on this issue. And I have supplied them a few sample H.264 files for them to look at and us get this bug fixed.

I don't have an r5000HD, these files are from SkyHD broadcasts.

Maybe the difference is that I'm running 7.1 Ultra (the HD-DVD version). I'm not recommending buying 7.1 for H.264 playback though, it's overpriced and buggy. I just already have it since I have an XBox 360 HD-DVD drive.

Just installed 6.1.6. h264 works fine on my P4 3Ghz CPU with Power DVD 7 (version that came with technotrend S3200 DVB-S2 card).

I get 100% CPU utilisation with some frames dropped but this is definetely CPU related....

Even the BBC HD clips play!
Bravo SageTV!
