I can manually set the channels in sage but if I tune a channel that is encrypted sage ui crashes and locks up causing a end task. Is this the way sage should act if it tries to tune a channel that is encrypted or has no data? I figured it would just come up with a no signal message or something like that.

Well I would love it if Comcast in NJ did this, but I don't think its the case, although I do see similar symptoms. When I am in HDHRsetup I can pick up some On Demand signals that are unencrypted on occasion and they will change. I believe, at least in my case, that when someone near your location pays for a movie you're able to detect that stream. In my case I was watching a movie and whomever paid for it was fast forwarding. If your case is like mine, this on demand stuff is just transient and even if it can be made to work in Sage, its very tedious to constantly update the channel mappings using QAM from HDHR in Sage, every day- sometimes multiple times a day.
You'd be better off just trying to record the stream manually when you catch a movie from the beginning-- I don't even think Sage will have any program info for the on demand stuff anyway.
