USB UIRT not always tuning

Can someone help me here. I'm using a USB UIRT with a time warner explorer 2000. I have it connected to the pc via USB and to the SA-2000 via a serial cable. When I change a channel via the program guide it works 100% of the time no problem. But for example, I want to record 'ADDICTION' from HBO when it does it via the schedule it keeps getting my channel 0001 not 0701. I don't understand what the difference is from doing it via a scheduled favorite vs doing it via the program guide? Any ideas or help?

My settings for the usb-uirt is
4 - digit
none - channel change confirm
25msec - delay between codes
250- msec delay between channel changes

im using the uirt-usb explorer2000.

Ok after doing what advice you gave me on the settings. It would change the channels as I selected them from the program guide fine. But when it was scheduled it wouldn't work still. So I thought why not unplug the SA-2000 which I did it takes like 15 minutes to find the cable information.

After it came back up I scheduled a bunch of shows and it worked !
