StreamZap remote issues...

I searched, but couldn't find what I Was looking for, so I am hoping someone here will be able to help.

I am using SageTV 6 with a 150-MCE card, and a StreamZap remote on a Windows XP box. Frsh build, with virtually nothing else installed.

I have noticed an issue I have where if I leave the system sit for a few hours, like 8 or 10, and come back, the remote isn't functioning.

What I have found, is that if I click one of the mouse buttons on the screen, the remote comes back to life.

Has anyone seen this, or have any advice on how to fix?

I have tried turning off all power management, and even setting Sage to not kick in the screen saver for 19 days. Still no luck

TIA

You have a focus issue, something is stealing the focus from SageTV and don't give it back (also there is another issue with Streamzap : after some rather long inactivity the Streamzap receiver will not work and you'll have to plug it out and plug it back, it somehow goes to sleep... but it is not the case here).

Unfortunately the default Streamzap software cannot bring back the SageTV window in focus all alone you must either :

* find what is stealing the focus
* simply relaunch SageTV (as it is already launched it will only bring it back to focus I think) with a button of the remote
* use the streamzap mouse mode to put SageTV into focus
* use an alternate software that has focus recovering features (like mine, or Grider, Event Ghost etc...)

Regards,
Stéphane.

hmm, I didn't think about setting a macro key on the remote to re-launch the program to bring it in focus. Let me try that, and see if it helps.

Thanks
