Favorites being re-scheduled...

I sometimes have a problem with a favorite being rescheduled, when it really shouldn't, or at least I think it shouldn't. The program in question is a sports favorite, and these are often repeated, sometimes the next day. Sometimes this favorite has been re-scheduled to record the next days repeat, which obviously is not desirable. Is there any way around this?

A couple ways to do this..

The first way is to add more tuners so you don't have conflicts that make Sage postpone the recording.

Otherwise, I think you would need to either do a manual recording or do some adjustments to the favorite to try to limit the recording window to only catch the first-showing. Hard to do for a sports favorite, may be impossible to do so.

Well, I kind of figured adding another tuner would be about the only way to currently "fix" this. It would be nice if there was a favorite option to set it so that particular favorite would never be rescheduled.

Yup, the abiltily to set up a favorite so that it always records the first showing of a favorite, even if it has a replay in the near future, has been requested many times.

Sports events or shows like LOST, which may replay the new episode a few days later, or just before next weeks new episosde are prime candidates for favorites that need the first showing recorded, even if it causes a conflict that could have been prevented by recording a later showing.
