Disable video conversions?

Last week I discovered under the Video Conversions menu (in Media Center) that I had a list of 278 shows that all failed conversion (I'm not particularly interested in why these failed). I cleared the list and today there are about 35 new shows that also all failed. It looks like Sage is trying to automatically convert all of my recorded shows, even though I did not ask for this. I checked all the setup menu options but there seems no way to disable the conversions.
I don't want conversions and don't need them, is there a way of turning this off? This must be wasting resources on my machine. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

By default, Sage does not automatically convert anything, you have to manually specify shows to convert.

Have you installed a plugin (eg this one) to autoconvert?

No I have a vanilla install of 6.0.19 on Windows XP (installed from scratch, no upgrades or old files lingering around from my earlier incarnations of Sage).
I purposely stay away from 3rd party plugins (as appealing as some look) to avoid issues. I think I'll submit a bug report.

It's a bug

I submitted a bug report and Sage support verified it was a bug that has been fixed in the next release.
